Steve Young

Chairman and Co-Founder of HGGC/ NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback

After a notable 15-season run in the NFL where Young was twice named the AP’s NFL Most Valuable Player and has joined both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Steve Young has become Chairman and Co-Founder of HGGC. Young received his Juris Doctor from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and co-founded the private equity firm, Huntsman Gay Global Capital (HGGC), in 2007 with Robert C. Gay. Young also had a career for two decades as an analyst at ESPN.

Steve Young is also an active philanthropist, working as a National Advisor to ASCEND: A Humanitarian Alliance, and founded his own charity foundation in 1993, Forever Young Foundation, which works to give children in difficult circumstances access to athletic, academic, and therapeutic outlets.
