Today, she runs her marketing and strategic communications consulting practice, Emily Jacob Agency, LLC, as well as her Keep Dreaming podcast, a spin-off of her bestselling book, A Wilder Eden. In less than two years, Emily’s agency has served over 20 corporate, non-profit, and small business clients across commercial real estate, AI, sustainability and ESG, executive coaching, sustainable fashion, interior design, higher education, refugee workforce development, healthcare, 5G/AI, and more. In 2023, Emily became a licensed real estate agent in Texas and led the marketing behind an executive thought leadership keynote for CBRE for their Public Institutions & Education Solutions division. She also supported her client’s launch of Rooted Communities in D.C., a purpose-driven real estate development firm focused on urban renewal, placemaking, and attainable housing.
Representing Fortune 50 brands, such as Samsung and Deloitte, Emily has built corporate narratives and national brand campaigns across marketing, global C-suite leaders, and communications functions. Emily resides in Austin, TX today, having spent her early career in Washington, D.C. in public affairs. Emily formerly lived in Kenya and Korea on volunteer and professional assignments. Emily is proud of leading a global public affairs messaging project across 5 continents for Samsung, building a $1M+ corporate membership program for Meridian International Center, and building Deloitte’s Purpose Brand in 2021, including working with a leading agency in the UK to drive the public launch, including production of a six-figure video.
She is a lifelong learner, a student of classical piano for 20+ years, and a half-Ironman finisher. Emily serves on the board of She Saves a Nation, a non-profit that supports young women in East Africa. She also serves on the event committee for the Austin Women Magazine small business awards dinner. She is a lifelong learner, earning her B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University, her real estate license in 2023, and has been a student of piano for 20 years.
In 2022, she became the bestselling author of A Wilder Eden: How to Keep Dreaming in a World of Disappointments. Emily’s ghostwriting and written work have appeared in HBR, the World Economic Forum, and the Washington Post. Emily has appeared in: Purpose Woman Magazine, Grit & Virtue, Propel Women, Mantra Magazine, and The Love Offering and Sing Your Song podcasts. Emily’s public speaking track includes engagements with Christ Church, Johns Hopkins University, UBS, Soho House, and Women of Austin.
